Prepare Your Horse: I never ask a horse to do something I haven't prepared it to do. By the time I'm asking a horse to step on to a trailer, that horse has all the preparation it needs to do it. By prepare I don't mean desensitize. I don't desensitize my horses as much as a lot of people do. It's easy to overdo it and end up dulling your horse. It's okay for your horse to react to something, but if he's properly prepared he won't overreact.

The foundation of Chris' program is this specially designed halter with lead rope. This halter was created by Chris out of rope that is stiff enough to hold its shape and is unmatched in durability. The 13 foot lead rope is manufactured especially for Chris and was created for its specific weight and feel. This halter and lead rope are unique in not only these qualities but also in the attention to detail that comes with handmade quality products. You will notice that Chris' lead rope does not have any snaps or hardware to seize up or get in the way of your effective communication with your horse.
