Keep it Simple: The less you need in the way of special equipment to communicate with your horse, the better. Think about it — horses don't use sticks or flags to get their point across to each other. Body language, posture, pressure, eye contact, personal space — these are things horses naturally understand and they're also the most effective in communicating with a horse. These are the things I rely on in my program to communicate with my horses.

Riding with the Correct Seat Position
$39.99
Riding with the Correct Seat Position

Chris teaches you how to find your centered seat. He talks about three seat positions: (1) front of saddle, (2) center of saddle and (3) back pocket of saddle. These positions are essential to achieve maximum effectiveness while performing maneuvers with your horse. He will show you how to establish balance and timing so you get in rhythm with your horse. No matter what discipline your horse is used for, English or Western; this video will teach you the correct equestrian seat.

The recent clinic in Tunica, MS was the best thing my wife and I have done since having our twins. I'm not a trainer, roper, or cutter, but still love my horses the same. The bond you have with your horse steps beyond what you breed, what you wear, or you do for a living. You helped me understand that the frustrations I have is due to the things that I don't know, not with my horse. You hit it squarely when you stated that the more you understand, the more you search to know. This weekend, I learned a lot about the mind set of horses, but I think I learned just as much about myself. It is amazing to see that the things we don't understand is often the obvious. It's the human, not the animal that over-complicates things! Perfect weekend!!

p.s. J. Parson was a great addition--loved it
