Building Rider Confidence 6-Day Clinics

It is easy to see that many of the riders would either abandon their love of horses out of fear or end up seriously hurt if they had not made their way to Chris. Stripped of artifice, intimate and authentic - you can't help but be inspired anew about horses and their impact on our lives.

Replacing Fear with Knowledge

At some point, every rider will encounter a frightening situation with their horse.

There are horse-related accidents, injuries and negative experiences that can erode the confidence of even experienced horsemen and women. When this happens, it can be challenging or impossible to enjoy your passion for horses and your love of riding.

Working with such individuals at demonstrations across the country, and as part of his Problem Horse series, Chris recognized the desire in these riders to restore their confidence and regain healthy relationships with their horses.

Touched by this need, Chris has personally designed a new, one-of-a-kind course for those who have suffered bad horseback experiences.

During his six-day Building Confidence Horsemanship Cinic, you’ll learn to confront and overcome your anxiety and other issues that have negatively affected your riding. Chris guides you step-by-step using his system of proven techniques with plenty of personal attention. He will show you how to increase your confidence and desire so that you can get back in the saddle without fear.

“I’ve spent a lot of time over the years helping people establish and rebuild their confidence,” says Chris. “I found there’s a huge demand for a clinic like this, and I’m glad I can provide it. One important aspect of the clinic is that we will match riders with the right horse — one that will help build their confidence, if they don’t come with the right horse.”

Chris has been giving clinics for over 20 years and he is the only instructor who will be teaching this special course. You can be sure of his careful attention to detail as he helps each participant progress mentally, emotionally and physically in building the confidence that is so necessary to be a successful horseman or woman. Safety is emphasized, as in all of our courses.

Learn how conquering your fear and replacing it with knowledge can literally change your life. Come be our guest at the Diamond Double C Ranch for a life-changing opportunity. You will enjoy hands-on, personal instruction by Chris, three meals a day prepared in our own ranch kitchen, bunkhouse accommodations here at the ranch, and live entertainment. As with all of our courses, any clinic participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Body Reining: I prefer to think of “body reining” rather than “neck reining” because when I guide my horse I'm not using only the reins on the neck. Guiding involves my whole body (hands, shoulders, seat, legs) and my horse's whole body (neck, shoulder, ribcage, hindquarters) working together to move smoothly in the right direction and at the right speed.

The recent clinic in Tunica, MS was the best thing my wife and I have done since having our twins. I'm not a trainer, roper, or cutter, but still love my horses the same. The bond you have with your horse steps beyond what you breed, what you wear, or you do for a living. You helped me understand that the frustrations I have is due to the things that I don't know, not with my horse. You hit it squarely when you stated that the more you understand, the more you search to know. This weekend, I learned a lot about the mind set of horses, but I think I learned just as much about myself. It is amazing to see that the things we don't understand is often the obvious. It's the human, not the animal that over-complicates things! Perfect weekend!!

p.s. J. Parson was a great addition--loved it
