Three Day Horsemanship Clinics

3-Day Clinic Overview

The number of participants will be limited so each rider can expect to get individual feedback from Chris throughout the three days, as well as benefit from the feedback he will give others. Auditors will be allowed at a cost of $35 per day and cannot bring horses to the clinic.

The 3-Day Clinics will cover the basic horsemanship techniques that Chris teaches in his Instructional Programs, but rather than simply taking instruction from a DVD and hoping to follow accurately, clinic participants will have Chris Cox there in person to oversee, evaluate and assure their progress.

Chris will scrutinize the horses in the clinic, assessing their individual personalities in order to use his insights to help clinic participants better understand their horses. Sharing his vast knowledge and experience, Chris will make it possible for both clinic participants and auditors to move toward a more harmonious partnership with their horses.

For stories and experiences of Chris' clinic participants,

Each clinic will be taught by Chris Cox and his hand-picked instructors and will consist of no more than twenty participants. Participants will be accepted in the order in which we receive and approve their requests.

All participant horses must be broke to ride. The 3-Day Clinics are designed for intermediate and advanced riders only. If the spots are filled, a waiting list will be made in case of cancellation, those on the waiting list will be called.

Participant Fees
3-Day clinic cost is $1,300 per person and does not include stall fees. Stalls at Diamond Double C Ranch are $35 per day and will include 3 bags of Sun Coast Shavings with additional bags of bedding for $10 each. The Lonesome Dove Bunk House will be available at a rate of $35 per day.

To apply, or to view complete clinic requirements, download the 3-Day Clinic Enrollment Form.

Spectator Tickets
Auditing cost is $35 per day and may be limited due to seating availability.

Payment Terms:
Due to a specific number of people required for each clinic, we require a minimum deposit of $650 paid upon receipt of our invoice after your application is approved. The final balance will be due no fewer than 45 days prior to the clinic start date. You are responsible for calling to make this payment. If you fail to pay your remaining balance when due, we'll assume you have cancelled and you will be subject to the following cancellation provisions.

Cancellation:
Participants are required to supply a non-refundable deposit based on 50% of the clinic cost at the time of booking to confirm your position. Upon confirmation you will be supplied a Chris Cox Horsemanship Company agreement and liability forms, which we require you to complete and return 45 days prior to your chosen clinic date.

Clinic positions are limited and spots fill fast so please be sure you are committed to attend when placing your deposit and understand that your final payment is due 45 days prior to your chosen clinic date.

If for some reason you are unable to attend a Chris Cox clinic on your selected date, we will allow you to role your deposit over to another clinic date as long as it falls within twelve months of your first selected date and we are able to fill your original position with another participant.

Please feel free to contact our clinic coordinator for more information by calling
1-888-81-HORSE.

Note:
All clinic deposits are non-transferable to another person.

Host a Chris Cox 3-Day Clinic

Not everyone can travel to the Diamond Double C Ranch for the 6-Day clinics Chris offers there. So, to make his horsemanship program more widely available, Chris is offering 3-Day Clinics throughout the country. Local people act as hosts at their own facility, if it meets the requirements, or at a local facility that does.

Hosts enjoy benefits such as a space in the clinic at no charge. They also retain proceeds from stall rentals. More than that, they get the satisfaction of knowing they have made it possible for the folks in their area to learn first-hand, the gentle, effective and practical horsemanship techniques that are the hallmark of Chris Cox’s program.

Spice Things Up: Any horse can benefit from a change-up. Take a reining horse on a trail ride, jump your dressage horse, ride your trail horse around some cattle. New experiences engage a horse's mind and build confidence. If you focus too much on a single thing day after day, your horse may learn to resent it. Your horse can get sour from too much ground work. The horse is meant to be ridden and is a very purposeful animal. Your horse wants a job and purpose.

The Leading Edge in Ground Control
$39.99

<!--a-->The Leading Edge in Ground Control In this series, clinician and educator Chris Cox teaches you how to gain control of your horse on the ground and establish a foundation of communication that will translate into the saddle. With effective, step-by-step methods you will learn how to teach your horse to respect your space and move as directed. Without a roundpen or stick, Chris will show you how to master your communication with halter and lead rope alone. By relying on simple tools and authentic horsemanship, you will always be prepared to communicate effectively with your horse, anytime or anyplace. As Chris works with an untrained young horse, you will see first-hand what it takes to establish a solid foundation on the ground. Once you've mastered your groundwork in the arena or paddock, Chris will show you how to add some spice to your learning and use your newfound skills to traverse obstacles such as gullies, logs and trees. Runtime: 1 hour 3 minutes

I attended a clinic as an auditor. It was a fantastic learning experience! Chris did a great job adapting to each rider's needs and ability level throughout the course of the clinic. There is no doubt in my mind now - I'll be signing up for a 6 day clinic so that I can work with my horse instead of just watching from the sidelines!
